Moni is fighting to prevent policies that allow corporations to buy up blocks of our city and result in pushing out families and Berkeley’s beloved small businesses. Instead, Moni will focus on the expansion of affordable housing, protecting artists and small businesses in our District, and creating real opportunities for working families and people across the income spectrum.

Residents often feel shut out of the city's decision-making process. Moni is committed to transparent, community-driven governance. As an experienced policymaker, Moni has shown she knows how to listen to the needs of constituents, rely on data and experts to inform her decisions, and work to strengthen accountability.
Traffic injuries and fatalities in Berkeley are on the rise. This is both unacceptable and preventable. Moni will prioritize fixing our streets and sidewalks, push for fair and ethical enforcement of traffic rules, and expand public spaces in West Berkeley.
